What Does the following follicular Study Indicate? 

I am 38 .and trying for IUI..In my follicular study on day 13 they noticed minimal free fluid in pouch of douglas.Follicles not yet ruptured ..what does they mean by fluid in pouch of douglas? is it going to affect my chances of conception? Thanks anonymous

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Since the follicles have not ruptured yet, it says ovulation has not taken place. In case it had ruptured and ovulated, then you would have found sufficient quantity of fluid in pouch of Douglas.
To look for free fluid in pouch of Douglas is one of the indicator to know about weather follicle has ruptured or not.
It doesn't affect the chances of your pregnancy.
Once your follicle ruptures and there is sufficient quantity of free fluid in pouch of Douglas is confirmed, they will go for the procedure of IUI.
